James Reyne: Hamilton Venue Change
2nd March, 2016

The Founders Theatre in Hamilton is closing immediately until further notice, which means the James Reyne plays Australian Crawl concert in Hamilton is moving to a new venue.

James Reyne plays Australian Crawl was due to happen at the Founders Theatre on Friday March 11. This concert will now take place at the Claudelands Arena in theatre mode. All tickets are valid for the new venue, and the concert will go ahead on Friday March 11 at the same time. Tickets are still available and can be purchased from www.ticketek.co.nz

The Founders Theatre in Hamilton is closing due to safety concerns around the flying system, which is an essential part of the theatre. The flying system sits within the stage house and holds things like produciton lights, scenery, stage effects, and it also holds the fire safety curtain.

For more information, visit founderstheatre.co.nz or ticketek.co.nz, or call Founders Theatre on 07 838 6600 or Ticketek on 0800 TICKETEK. Claudelands Arena is located on the corner of Brooklyn Road and Heaphy Terrace, Claudelands, Hamilton.

James Reyne was last here in April 2015 supporting Rod Stewart to sell out crowds and now Reyne and his band are venturing back across the ditch to play four theatre shows just for us! In recent years, James Reyne has been fast establishing himself as the busiest – and most in demand - man in rock. His  songs have provided the soundtrack to endless kiwi  summers, including massive hits like  ‘The Boys Light Up’ and  ‘Reckless’ and this tour is all about those great Australian Crawl anthems. Last year’s huge ‘Plays Australian Crawl’ tour played to more than 100,000 ardent fans in his homeland.

Thomas Oliver will play support on all four shows, kicking off in Christchurch on March 8 and heading to Napier (March 9), Hamilton (March 11) and finishing in Auckland on March 12.

This is one summer tour to stand out from the rest. Classic songs in some of New Zealand's most classic venues. An absolute must-see for any fan.
